Mark graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. Since graduating he has gained extensive experience in private practice as he has developed a keen interest in any hip and knee pain conditions. Mark’s biggest strength is being able to listen and pull out the exact information necessary to target treatment to get results. Mark’s G-ma has made a big space in his healing heart for working with our ageing population and their Physio needs. Mark’s gentle confidence lends to his great results often after the first session. Whatever your goal is Mark will help you get there. Whether those goals are high level sports performance or completing everyday tasks, Mark has the skills.
Mark stays current by taking a variety of courses through the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute.
Mark’s passion for sports continues outside of work as he loves playing ice and floor hockey in the winter, water skiing in the summer with a mix of kickboxing and racquet sports in between. Mark grew up on Vancouver Island and is excited to be able to help those that share this beautiful island.

Joman has recently graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in August 2022 and is waiting to take his board exams in the Fall to become a registered massage therapist.
Joman comes from San Juan City, Philippines and immigrated to Victoria in 2008 and has been living on the island ever since. He became interested in becoming a massage therapist due to his own injuries from weightlifting, sports, and work. He was inspired by his recovery following his own rehabilitation and recovery after treatments with physiotherapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and registered massage therapists.
Joman’s style of massage is relaxation, fundamental deep tissue, trigger point release, stretching and broad pressure. He also likes to include when appropriate a focus on deep relaxation and deep diaphragmatic breathing aimed at reducing stress and calming the whole system.

Born and raised in Greater Victoria, Sean is proud to call the West Coast his home. He completed the Registered Massage Therapy Program in 2020 through the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. Previously, he graduated from UVic with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. This unique combination of education, paired with his experience as an outreach worker with people with brain injuries, affirmed his goal to make massage services accessible. His training and compassion is evident and he is committed to making sure people feel heard and honoured. While honing his skills, he has worked with people across the community including those living at Mount Saint Mary’s and Our Place. Yink’s journey into Chinese Medicine and philosophy began 14 years ago while she was still working as a
Registered Nurse in a surgical ward in Thailand.
In 2008, she decided to take a break from 13 years as an RN and enrolled in a Chinese
language program. This adventure inspired her to enrol in a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) program at the Medical College of Xiamen University, China. Yink volunteered and worked during this time at the busy TCM clinic at the university. This experience offered her an opportunity to observe and be mentored in traditional eastern assessments and treatments of a wide variety of complex patient illnesses and pain conditions.
In 2017, Yink decided to move back to Canada, and in enrolled in Oshio College of acupuncture
and herbology in Victoria where she obtained a her registered acupuncturist and registered traditional Chinese medicine practitioner accreditation. Throughout her studies she worked in the student clinic and volunteered to shadowed TCM doctors in the TCM
department in the Thai hospital where she previously worked as an RN.
Yink believes in a holistic approach that considers the human body as resilient and capable of healing itself when given the right care through acupuncture, herbal formulas, diet & lifestyle modifications, massage and cupping in order to restore the body back into a state of optimal health.

Beth Bates is a Registered Physiotherapist. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics, Master’s degree in biomedical physiology and Kinesiology from SFU and her Physiotherapy Master’s from UBC. She worked as a Kinesiologist for eight years before becoming a Physiotherapist. Her treatment philosophy is to teach patient what they can do to improve and maintain optimal functioning. Beth has completed numerous post-graduate courses in acupuncture, IMS/Dry needling, vestibular (vertigo) treatment, manual therapy and exercise prescription. Beth completed post-graduate training in Australia where she learned from leaders in her profession about spinal mobilization and manual therapy. We are excited to have another amazing multitalented practitioner on our team. Having travelled all over Canada to complete his undergraduate training in Kinesiology and Athletic Therapy and then travelling over the pond to complete his Physiotherapy Master’s in the UK. While studying in England, he was able to gain experience working in various hospitals scattered across London and working as an assistant physiotherapist for one of London’s professional basketball teams. Mat’s previous work experience as a Kinesiologist and Athletic Therapist has solidified his exercise rehabilitation knowledge and execution. Mat provides exercise rehabilitation and hands-on treatment with experience treating all members of the community from young athletes injured on the pitch to workers injured at work and grand parents having trouble getting on the ground to play with their grand children. Mat can help you get stronger, reach your health and wellness goals and get you back to activity after an accident.
